Cameron was born and raised in Glasgow and completed an MSci degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. At Glasgow, he had the opportunity to work on the stabilisation of coiled-coil peptides. In 2025, Cameron continued his studies in Glasgow, joining the Burley group to start a PhD focusing on investigating the structural basis underpinning the mechanism of siRNA therapeutics.
