Snehith was raised in the small town of Puttur, Andhra Pradesh, India. In 2023, he completed his BS-MS dual degree at the Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati. For his final year project, under the supervision of Dr. Gopinath Purushothaman, he worked on C7 site-selective olefination of indoles using dual metallaphotoredox catalysis. After completing his BS-MS, he continued in the same research group as a project associate on an industrial project, focusing on upscaling the synthesis and chiral resolution of Levetiracetam. In October 2024, he joined the Burley Group for doctoral studies under the collaborative GSK/University of Strathclyde PhD program. His research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of modified nucleotides for therapeutic oligonucleotides.

Current position:
Snehith loves playing Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, and skating. He is also a big fan of binge-watching anime and TV series. At one point, he even tried learning Japanese just so he could watch anime without subtitles… but he quit after mastering a grand total of 4 or 5 words. Guess he will stick to subtitles for now!
